St. Charles St. was just 6 blocks to the south. Lots of restaurants here: Uptown coffee, Superior Seafood, The Chloe, Delachaise Wine Bar and the St. Charles Street Car made it easy to get to the Garden District and French Quarter. 2 blocks to the north was a neighborhoody market, coffee shop, restaurant with excellent Po' boys: High Hat. Highly recommend this air bnb and the Freret.

We had a great time in Cailin’s place. We enjoyed our coffee on the back deck. The beds were comfortable though both mattresses were covered in plastic. The kitchen was well stocked. It’s a short walk to restaurants and a small grocery store. Wifi is not good. It’s worth noting that for two couples you need to know each other well as there’s absolutely no privacy anywhere. It’s one of those railroad houses.

With a great location, friendly host and neighbors, quiet neighborhood and walking distance to many restaurants, this 1905 house is well preserved, carefully updated, very clean and appointed with amenities. We enjoyed delightful daily walks in the neighborhood and surrounding areas enjoying the beautiful architecture, gardens and friendly people. Being a New Orleans native I felt right at home.

Our stay at Calvin’s place was perfect. Great location (easy access to Tulane) and food options. Her house is in a nice quiet neighborhood.
