I knew what I was renting and what mattered the most for me and Alex's place fit that perfectly. If you want a hotel experience , book a hotel. If you want to live like a local, book here.

Alex is lucky to live in one of the best area of Paris. There’s plenty to do, plenty to see and eat. The apartment is a great pied-à-terre whenever you want to visit Paris as it’s furnished and super accessible. The problem is we traveled with our new born and toddler and if you come with kids it’s not super functional unfortunately as the stairs in the loft are super tricky, and the bedrooms aren’t isolated at all. If you’re tall as well, you can’t stand in the shower and you can easily hit your head in the kitchen or bathroom. We didn’t have the TV or internet working properly at all the whole two weeks we were there. Alex has been amazing and super kind though by trying to fix it by distance and help us but it was a little annoying as we were also working from home. Apart from that, it’s a lovely place to stay and hang for a short time if you’re a couple or just coming in and out of Paris. For families we don’t recommend unfortunately even though the loft is a beauty !

Alex’s place was everything I wanted for my first Paris trip. I loved how the location was so close to everything but yet somehow still so serene and quiet. Alex was a great host, with clear instructions of the location and how to get in and everything else i’d need throughout my stay. The loft itself is beautiful, warm (for the cold winters) and had all the amenities I’d want on a trip. I highly recommended staying here if you’re unsure where to book.

Si l’effet waouw marche dans les premières minutes, il est vite éclipsé par une multitude de détails… liste non exhaustive : Isolation sonore inexistante, on profite bien de toute l’activité de l’immeuble. Équipements pas entretenus : rideaux en partie décrochés, coffre noir défoncé (et camouflé sous des magasines) poussière accumulée sur la bibliothèque et ses luminaires. Les luminaires: ampoules non compatibles avec le variateur qui grésillent pour le lustre, disparates et/ou grillées dans la lampe derrière le canapé. Salle de bain sans crochet (on met donc ses affaires au sol), toilettes a la peinture écaillée, poster moisi, dégoulinade marron ?!? Papier bulle scotché sur les structures métalliques (!?!) Bref cet appartement est un lieu abandonné et ca se voit ! Évidemment quand l’annonce est sans prétention, on ne s’attend a rien d’incroyable, quand elle est dans l’emphase on est facilement déçue.

We stayed in Alex’s flat for a week and had a wonderful time. The apartment feels like a giant loft - with an open floor concept, tons of light, super clean, and great design. Comfortable bedrooms, strong wifi, and a nice shower / bath. Please note - there is no oven. The flat was in a fantastic area in the 10th Arr in Paris - surrounded by incredible restaurants, cafes, bars, kebab shops, markets, fromageries — and very close to multiple Metro stations. We absolutely fell in love with the neighborhood. We felt like Parisian locals the entire time. Note — if it’s your first time in Paris and you’re looking to stay next to all the sites, this isn’t it - but they are a lovely walk or quick Metro ride away. This is a great place if you’ve been to Paris before and are looking for a more local experience. Overall, we had a lovely stay and hope to stay in Alex’s flat again in Paris!
