Clearly Gard and Sally have put in a lot of work to build and decorate their home. The decor was very tasteful, kitchen fully stocked, hot tub a bliss, having a cup of coffee overlooking the pond couldn’t be more relaxing. From the day I made the reservation till after checking out, communication was very clear and responsive. I’d definitely recommend the Heron hideaway to anyone looking to have a fun relaxing weekend.

Gard and Sally were very gracious hosts. They were were kind enough to accept our request on a short notice and were very accommodating to our schedule. The communication from the host was fantastic! All of our questions were answered between the information in the House Manual, Check-in instructions, and the little informational notes posted around the house. We were greeted on arrival, and instantly felt welcomed and easily became acquainted and comfortable in the space. The cabin was fantastic. A perfect little hideaway in the woods, but still close enough to the village for supplies or a quick bite to eat. It was too cold to enjoy all the amenities that the cabin had to offer. But the amazing view of the trees, the quaint little pond, and seeing the different animals roaming around from the large porch windows will make this the perfect place no matter what season. We enjoyed every part of this weekend. The cabin was clean, comfortable, relaxing, and quiet. We hope to visit again.

This is a beautiful place. The hot tub is older and had a little trouble keeping temperature in the rather cold evenings, but it was still a pleasure to relax in each evening. The views are breathtaking. We even had a chipmunk who greeted us each morning on the deck! It was quite possibly the most restful sleep we have had in months. Gardner and Sally had everything labeled and were always responsive to questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Heron Hideaway will not disappoint! Great location, great accommodations, and exceptional hosts!
