Highland Park is a small but quiet, family and dog friendly house. Our guests tell us we have the most comfortable beds they have ever slept in at a holiday property. Have a glass of one of the many local wines while relaxing in the tranquil gardens under silver birches or the grapevine, gazing at the spectacular view of Mount Bogong. Falls Creek is only 30 minutes away by car for snow sports in winter and some of Australia’s best mountain biking and hiking trails in summer. Within Tawonga South, (a very short walk), are cafes and restaurants. In the township of Mount Beauty, you will find a supermarket, pharmacy, hardware, bakery, and lovely boutique shops and restaurants. The township is 2 minutes by car and 20 minutes stroll; all pram accessible. The house itself is compact, so it is not suitable for large groups. There is an open-plan lounge/dining/kitchen with comfortable leather sofas, Netflix, and a dining table that seats six. The full kitchen includes a dishwasher, full-sized fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee pod machine, cooking utensils, and crockery. We also have a full laundry (washer and drier), a full-sized bath, a separate shower, and a separate toilet, making all amenities suitable for a group of friends. We also have a smart TV with Netflix and a soundbar for cold winter nights. The bedrooms are configured as; Bedroom 1: queen and king single, Bedroom 2: queen and king single, Bedroom 3: queen bed only. Please note that a king single is the same length as a queen bed (longer and wider than a standard single). Doonas, doona covers, and pillows are provided. ** Guests are asked to bring their own sheets (queen size/king single), pillowcases, and towels. *** We welcome dogs, but please not on the beds/couches. Heating, built-in robes, and USB chargers in each bedroom. The living area has air conditioning, ceiling fans, and panel heating. A smoke detector, fire blanket, and fire extinguisher are provided. This secure property is located on a quiet street with double driveways that accommodate several vehicles. Please note there is no vehicle access to the carport. We have replaced all the fencing in the back garden, making it more private and secure for children and well-behaved pups. The house is on a single level with no steps. It is suitable for individuals with low mobility. Some cupboards and garage are locked for owner use.
