What a find! La Fortuna can be crazy expensive and not that private. But this little village was perfect. Do not stay here if you want to be right in the action or walkable to town. It is a 20-minute drive into La Fortuna. Do stay here if you want something peaceful, safe, functional, and cold a/c. This is a no-frills stay; the house is basic and functional, neat and clean with a really great shower. The private hot tub was the perfect temp right outside our door. And of course, there's the little stream, shared pool, and farm to enjoy. We arrived late and had communication from our hosts the whole time. We knew exactly what to do when we arrived since it was after hours. The hosts checked in on us a few times via messaging and asked permission to come in a do some light cleaning. Check-out was even easier. All we needed to do was leave the keys on the counter--easy peasy--my kind of stay. I would recommend the stay.

We truly enjoyed every minute spent at this house! The house is a true paradise! The gardens surrounding the house, the pool, the farm. Everything in the house was well thought and very convenient! Max and Magdalena were amazing hosts - very helpful! I highly recommend this house!

What an amazing spot. Our three kids couldn’t get enough of the grounds, pool and farm. We enjoyed getting up to see the sun rise, watch the birds and enjoy the view of the gardens. Max was super helpful and responsive. The place itself was clean, comfortable and full of amenities. Overall a wonderful stay!

My family loved this place. The deck was incredibly peaceful, and the hot tub was lovely once it cooled down in the evenings. The beds were really comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped for what we needed. The kids enjoyed playing in the pool and lounging in the hammocks in between the pool and the stream. For our needs, the location was great. It's about a 15-minute drive to town (helpful to have a car), so we could go our to dinner but it was very quiet where we were. We could hear lots of birds in the mornings. Very happy we chose this as our base in La Fortuna.
