Guest house with a big front porch, located in a beautiful, private garden. The property is surrounded by walls and has lake access. The big garden is shared with 3 other little houses, as is the swimming pool. The house consists of one big room, with a double bed, single bed, lounge area and chimney. The kitchenette is in a separate house, as is the bathroom. The property is a 5-min walk from restaurant Las Lagartijas by the main road, from where you can take tuktuks to the center of Santiago. This guest house consists of three separate structures. The main house consists of a lounge area, two beds, a closet and a little work table. The kitchenette is in a separate structure. It is very simple, with the running water located outside the kitchen, in a traditional guatemalan outdoor-sink called 'pila'. This rental is for people who don't mind a very basic, yet functional kitchen. Please note that the bathroom is also located in a separate little structure, a few meters to the right of the sleeping/lounge house.

Beautiful place right on the lake and a quick walk to Santiago. Very comfortable and clean! Juan, the property manager, is very responsive and helpful with anything you need during your stay.

We had a very peaceful 3 night stay here. The garden is particularly lovely. It would be nice to have some furniture by the lake front to be able to swim and relax there a bit more.
This is truly a gem. We completely relaxed in the beautiful garden of this AirBnB. The garden is so amazing with lot's of birds en squirrels. You have complete peace and privacy for yourself. The host Annelise is a treasure of a woman who is always there for you. There is also a path to Lake Atitlan and a walking path along the lake from the AirBnB. It's nice to sit there at the end of the day. Amazing view of the sun getting low behind the San Pedro Vulcano. Also a few nice restaurants nearby and otherwise a tuk tuk to the center for 5Q per person. Highly recommended, we are sad to leave here.

The house is a 20-minute walk from the Santiago boat dock, or 5 minutes by tuktuk. From the road it’s a 3-minute walk down a little path to the property. It’s a calm neighborhood and the perfect place to relax. Santiago Atitlán offers many cultural experiences, from the Mayan deity Maximón to the quetzal bird (at certain times of the year). From Santiago you can also visit other towns around the lake by boat, with direct boats to San Pedro and Panajachel.
If you are arriving to Santiago from El Paredon, or heading there after Santiago, there is a shuttle that passes through Santiago on its way to San Pedro. I can help put you in touch with the company.
