Nice lodge in a lovely spot on the beach. Comfortable room and friendly staff provided everything we needed for a relaxing break.

A beautiful place - down the steps to the restaurant and then another little tiny walk to a small beautiful beach with all day security. A tranquil place and the environment is just gorgeous. You have a little patio surrounded by trees. Hillary is extremely accommodating and even gave me refund when I couldn’t come due to getting shingles. I cannot fault her at all! However she isn’t always present; and I have a feeling staff maybe a bit sharper when she’s around as I was met with a sort of apathic receptionist; lots of ignoring me lots of backs turned - though it was only me there pretty much bar two ladies eating.Pls note that the room you’re booking through Airbnb is the simplest budget room- with outside facilities, shared with others. More hostel than “boutique hotel”. Clean! Just wasn’t for me due to health issues; and a bit of a downer to be met by that; would’ve wanted the info prior. Go to Booking or to their website for info on all the different room options. 👌🏽✌🏽🍾❤️
Brilliant place to stay. Gorgeous location with friendly and helpful staff who really made you feel part of a family. Great food served in the lovely indoor/outdoor restaurant/bar. It’s an eco lodge so if you want 5* luxury this isn’t for you. The bed was comfortable and if you keep the shutters closed your room will stay cool enough for a good nights sleep to the soothing sound of the ocean. Nice front balcony area to sit out in. We met the most interesting guests and locals doing so many great things for the area. If you walk along the beach to the left or right you’ll find a few other little places you can get refreshments. We loved our stay and it was hard leaving!
We loved our stay so much we stayed twice! And we would come back again in the future too! Perfect spot to have as a base to explore The Gambia

I have lived most of my life in Boulder, Colorado but I have also spent significant time living in NYC, Paris, Melbourne, Tokyo, Havana and The Gambia. I have traveled extensively world wide. I worked in photography and film for many years. More recently, I have been doing consulting with a focus on new business development, marketing and creative strategy. I am a social entrepreneur and small scale investor and love all things creative. I love the start-up scene. I am adventurous, love the outdoors but also city life. I appreciate all forms of dance, great music, organic fresh food, art of all kinds, good books, coffee and good conversation. I travel a lot still which is one reason why I love sharing my home when I am gone amd bringing the world to me when I am home. I do yoga when I can. When home, I cycle to work most days. I hike, ski, and love the outdoors generally. I have taught and love to dance (any dance - salsa, samba, kizomba, tango). I speak Spanish, French and a bit of Portuguese and can get by with essentials in Italian... I know a little bit of numerous other languages including Moroccan Arabic, Japanese, Madinka and Wolof. I love meeting new people and being in new places. I am definitely a relaxed, low-key host, guest or roomate . I look forward to meeting you!
