We stayed here for 3 nights over New Year as two families with children aged 7, 7, 4 and 4. The house was very spacious and beautifully decorated and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was fairly remote but that’s what we were looking for as we were hoping to see the Northern Lights. Unfortunately, they didn’t show themselves for us but it would have been a perfect viewing point if they had. As we stayed over New Year we were able to sit by the window and watch lots of fireworks on New Years Eve! Location wise, the house was perfectly situated to visit the Geysir, the Gulfoss falls and the Secret Lagoon all in less than 30mins by car. We also visited Thingvellir National Park and the Lava Tunnel both of which were just under an hours drive. Reykjavik was around 1hr and 30mins away. All in all we had an amazing stay and we would definitely recommend Linda’s house to other families.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at this beautiful farmhouse, conveniently located within 30 minutes drive of a number of stunning Golden Circle Route destinations. It was very comfortable, the kitchen was a joy to cook in, and we loved waking up in the morning to horses in the field right outside the windows. Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a peaceful get-away.

This was quite the farmhouse! It had so much charm inside! However, the outside was undergoing repairs. I would have liked more light in the house as every room was very dim. The bathroom water reeked from sulpher which made it pretty hard to stay in there. We loved waking up in the morning and seeing the horses right from our window! The host Linda was very responsive and understanding to all our needs.
