This wasn't just an AirBnB; it was home. Cindy & Bill were very gracious, especially in sharing their alpacas & dogs. The cottage itself was well-appointed, attention to details were impressive, safe, serene, & what a find.

This was my 3rd or 4th time staying at Bright Eyes. Bill and Cindy are so thoughtful in all the details, and the place always feels so clean. We've stayed in downtime Farmville before, but we definitely prefer the solitude and amenities of this place better.

This was one of the best Airbnb stays I’ve ever had. It was clean, well decorated, and honestly every detail was thought of. The bathroom was huge and very clean. The kitchenette has everything you need to “eat in” for breakfast and lunch, should you choose. Cindy is an A+ host—and I cannot recommend more! She was flexible with my check in which was amazing, especially since I arrived on a redeye! Also, the proximity to Hampden-Sydney was fantastic as I was there for the NCAA basketball tournament. I could be at the gym in 5 minutes!

Highly recommend this retreat (and it is truly a retreat) if you need a few days of peace and quiet. It is gorgeous - inside and out. Also recommend if you want to stay in an area full of history, things to do, both inside and outdoors. Farmville is a wonderful place to get to know -- and staying at Bright Eyes Alpaca Retreat is the cherry on top. Wish we had found this place earlier in our daughter's journey at Longwood University. Owners made the stay very easy - great instructions, amenities, and very comfortable bed!
