Lovely place. Value for money

The location is perfect if you want a secluded and quiet space for a weekend trip from Dar es Salaam. Our kids and dog enjoyed running around the property and the beach/lagoon. The outdoor shower is lovely and the cottage is nicely decorated. Haji provides excellent help with food preparations or cleaning dishes, and is around if you have any questions. We enjoyed watching the birds and monkeys in the morning. Only downside is there are no fans for sleeping so without an ocean breeze it can be very hot especially during the month of January (the hottest time of year here).

On arrival this place seems comletely surreal. A wonderful central kitchen and lounge area with lovely wooden furniture and a huge shaded area overlooking the Indian Ocean. Completely isolated and remote, absolutely wonderful to sit and read a book and bring in the fresh air and tranquil environment. Unfortuately, at night there were so many mosquitos that we had to lock all windows and doors, tuck the mosquito nets into the beds, and spray repellant throughout the night. This also made the room unbearably hot and with no fans it was impossible to sleep, while still being attacked by mosquitos. After the 2nd night we left early, because we were covered in mosquito bites and had not slept. It was such a shame as the location is absolutely wonderful. Perhaps we were just unlucky, but regardless I would not reccomend the place unless the owner is willing to install fans and have mosquito nets without holes in the, Malaria is a killer, and should not be underestimated.

We enjoyed our stay at Sarah's lovely peaceful place. The beach is great and the house and kitchen very relaxing.

Lovely and spacious house with an amazing view. We had a great weekend here. there is a great beach a short drive away which is amazing and empty!
