Villa Cheka is located just outside Cheka village, 1 hour south of Dar es Salaam. The villa has a swimming pool, a stunning garden and rooftop ocean views. It’s about 1 kilometre from the closest beach, with several gorgeous beaches in the area for you to explore if you have a car. Villa Cheka is a beautiful and breezy house has two master bedrooms with double beds upstairs and one extra bedroom downstairs with a comfortable 5x6 daybed. Three bathrooms. Fans and mosquito nets in every room. There is an open kitchen and living room and a big veranda with a lounge area and a dining area. Outside there’s a barbecue and sitting area under a nice shady tree perfect for lazy breakfasts, and the rooftop is a great place for sundowners. There is no ac and no wifi, but connection is pretty good so you won’t be completely cut off from the world.

This place is just a dream! Everything in the photos is just as you can see, only in real it is much more beautiful. You can literally jump into the pool from the living area, which is a nice space to hang out with friends and family. The house is very nicely decorated and makes you immediately feel at home. And it has everything you need. The staff is very friendly and happy to help with anything, from getting food, drinks or ice from town or supporting with the BBQ. The garden is stunning, and while one of the nicest beaches you can think of is not too far away, it is difficult to leave the beautiful house, pool and garden. I will definitely be back. Regularly! :)
Charlotte is great and very responsive. Her staffs - Mwajuma, Vincent and Peter are very friendly and had been really helpful during our stay. Mwajuma prepared and cooked for us chips mayai and for me, it was perfect. I never tried chips mayai as good as hers. We will definitely stay again at Charlotte’s place. We felt connected with nature.
A beautiful retreat away from the big city. The pool is spectacular and the house is beautifully designed. I really love the open plan for families and groups with lovely en-suite rooms. You can tell lots of thought went into designing the space. It’s such a pleasure staying here. Cheka town is close and so is the beach but it's even super cozy just staying put during the rainy season. Also, a very responsive and accommodating host. I can’t wait for my next stay.
Third time booking Villa Cheka! Always the best getaway from Dar. Enjoyed the day by the pool reading under the wooden shade structure. Love that the deck is now fixed - also a few other thoughtful updates like Inaya soap! In the evening we managed to catch the sunset before a gentle drizzle lulled us to sleep in the evening. The cleaning lady and guards helped out with food prepping, buying charcoal and setting up the grill. Grateful for this gem so close to dar. Can’t wait to go back again soon! Thank you!
I and my family had a really great time at villa cheka,the kids enjoyed swimming alot.The place is exact as seen on the pictures and that made us soo happy.The place is soo peaceful and beautiful full of green sorroundings and flowers.We will surely visit again next time❤️❤️

Villa Cheka is about 1 hour south of Dar es Salaam city centre. It’s remote, and Cheka is a small village. In the neighbourhood there are a few hotels that are open to outside guests, most of them located on the beach. The closest beach access is a five minute drive (or 20 minute walk) from the house.
Having your own car is a necessity (or at the very least highly recommended)
