Hawkenbury is nestled between the villages of Headcorn and Staplehurst, the cottage is surrounded by fantastic country walks, welcoming country pubs and priceless peace and quiet.

Simply the best! Our stay at Garden Cottage was wonderful - an oasis of calm and tranquillity. The Cottage was spacious, extremely well-equipped, light, clean and comfy. The very large, beautifully landscaped garden was fabulous, and our Collie, Tess, loved having the run of it, immediately befriending Bo and Truffles, the very friendly resident dogs. Jools and Paul are fantastic hosts, and made us feel so welcome. Over the years, we have stayed in many holiday lettings, and this fantastic listing surpassed them all. A delight!
We had a wonderful stay at Garden Cottage. Everything was spotlessly clean with no detail overlooked. For a peaceful, relaxing get away, this is ideal. Great place if you have a furry friend too! Thoroughly recommend.
We had a wonderful stay in this cosy and comfortable cottage. It was one of the best equipped places we’ve stayed in, with generous provisions provided. Such a lovely peaceful setting with a gorgeous garden. Our dog loved being able to go out in the garden and play with Bo and Truffles. A great base to explore the local area- we didn’t want to leave and hope to go back. Strongly recommended.

We had a wonderful four night stay. Our host Jools and Paul were so friendly and very approachable and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Our two dogs really enjoyed the private patio area, and loved running around the garden with their two dogs Truffles and Beau. The property is surrounded by beautiful fields and walks, Jools and Paul shared their local knowledge and recommended dog friendly walking routes. The property was a perfect size for us all. The open plan kitchen, dining, living room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The bedroom, bathroom and utility room provided everything else we needed to make out stay really pleasurable. We enjoyed are stay so much we are looking to book our next stay with them this summer.

Rurally positioned in the lovely landscaped garden of the Clock House, you will be more than welcome to wander the garden and enjoy the birdsong. This is a property within our garden, so please expect normal daily activities and friendly dogs.
Close by, you will find the famous Leeds Castle (with its wonderful summer outdoor concert), Sissinghurst Castle gardens as well as many other local, historic, national trust sites. On your way to visit these local attractions you will discover a few of the many fantastic local pubs and eateries in the area; ranging from traditional country pubs to modern restaurants.
A little closer to home, at the end of our driveway you will find an infinite network of footpaths and bridleways. These footpaths can take you through heart of the countryside to neighbouring villages such as Chart Sutton, East Sutton, Staplehurst, Headcorn and many more further afield.
Headcorn aerodrome is close by and is well worth a visit if your interests lie there, sometimes we’re lucky enough to get a fly past from the wonderful spitfires based locally and biplanes doing aerobatics. In the summer they have the spectacular Battle of Britain weekend, and a number of other events such as classic cars meets, etc.
Easy reach of mainline station with frequent services to London from either Headcorn or Staplehurst mainline stations.
There is plenty to see at Rochester or Canterbury although lovely places such as Rye, Whitstable or Chilham make for great days out.
