Words can’t describe this place. It is stunning. During our visit in May there are beautiful spring flowers everywhere and wildlife in abundance. The accommodation is fantastic with views across the river from the huge veranda and you feel you don’t need to travel anywhere as there are walks everywhere. Can’t recommend it enough. The hosts way of life is a lesson for us all and future generations.

If you love nature and silence, Jacquie and Neal's place is paradise on earth. We loved it all; The house, which was cool in the heat, the terrace with the fantastic view - also a covered part, which is good both in sun and rain. The whole area with the nearby river where we often sat and enjoyed the sunset. We saw pretty much all of our favorite European birds while we were there; kingfisher, bee-eater, rollers, hoopoe, storks - both black and white, shrikes, etc. Jaquie and Neal are lovely company and hospitable hosts. Their 5 dogs are super cute, and are happy to take you on a walk in the area. We are very much looking forward to staying there again.

It was great getting out of the city. The flowers were gorgeous. We both loved our stay there . The dogs are very friendly. If you like the county, birds , flowers , and friendly dogs it is perfect. The hosts go out of their way to help you.

Jacquie & Neal's smallholding is off the beaten track, in a very peaceful location. If you want to get away from it all, this really is it. The accommodation is spacious, clean and well equipped, and while being quite close to the host's house, it's orientated for both privacy and a full view of the surrounding countryside. It's off grid, with solar hot water and power and gas for cooking. Plenty of scope for long walks in the area, with lots of wildlife, including some wild boar that we saw. There's very little light pollution there, so the sky at night is clear and full of stars, the large bedroom window gave us a bedside view of the rising moon. Jacquie & Neal are great hosts, discrete and proactive giving good instructions on finding the property, their passion for living an environmentally friendly lifestyle is contagious. Their dogs are friendly, but easily kept away from the accommodation if you so prefer. We fully recommend the accommodation, it's a great place to relax.

Mijn vrouw en ik hebben ontzettend genoten van ons verblijf bij Jaquie en Neal. Het huis was heerlijk ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. Een heerlijke veranda die deels overdekt was, dus je kon altijd buitenzitten en genieten van het uitzicht en de natuur. Jaquie en Neal zijn zeer aimabele gastvrouw en gastheer. In het huis een handige folder met alles wat je moet weten, maar ook en vooral zeer leuke trips. een echte aanrader voor rustzoekers en natuurliefhebbers.
