Staying at The Old Vestry gives you wonderful views of a lake, Garn Fawr and Garn Fechan Iron Age Forts and the sea behind them. Providing breathtaking walks from all directions of the cottage or a short cycle or drive away will give you access to a multitude of stunning coastal walks and activities.

A bird watchers paradise:
We have swallows nesting in the porch way, also from the cottage you may see; Canadian Geese, Red Kite, Kestrel, Pheasants, Peregrine’s, wagtails and plenty more common garden birds.
A short walk into the nearby woods will take you close to some woodpeckers.
A little further to Strumble Head lighthouse and you are in the best spot to view Manx Shearwater who travel past x2 daily, this is also a great spot to see porpoise. Pembrokeshire is home to over half the worlds population of Manx shearwater, (456,000) during the months of March - August.
Our closest beach, Abermawr has a brilliant display of sand martins which will fly just above you when sat on the beach. Other coastal birds you will find in Pembrokeshire are the Chough, Fulmar petrel, Cormorant and Shag, Guillemots, Razorbills and Puffins, Kittiwake, Gannets, Storm Petrels and Oyster Catchers. Bring your binoculars and you will find most of these on a coastal walk. Alternatively you can book a boat trip to be among these beautiful creatures whilst finding out a little more about them.
