Vagabond House sits on the side of a hill and has an absolutely magnificent view of farms and mountain ranges. Handicap friendly/accessible. Guests with positive records are especially appreciated. The house is located in a private and safe community near LaVale, Frostburg, Rocky Gap State Park, and Cumberland, Maryland. Two bedrooms on the upper floor with a couch. Two bathrooms. (An additional bedroom and bathroom are potentially available on the lower floor normally restricted). Vagabond House has two floors: (1) The upper (first) floor has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, sunroom, and a small dining area. This floor is accessible directly from the parking area. (2) The lower floor is not included in this listing except under limited circumstances (please see listing description). There is a gate on the main floor restricting access to the lower floor. Four security cameras are located on the exterior of the dwelling. These cameras are not essential and can be deactivated. There is no known crime in this immediate neighborhood and development.

Nick has a fantastic house with great furnishings. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils, the showers were phenomenal, and above all, the views from the deck were breath taking. You get so much more with this booking than you would from a hotel, and for cheaper than a hotel as well. Nick is a fantastic host and a great guy.
We absolutely loved the house and had an amazing time. Nicholas was more than accommodating when I reached out with additional requests. We rented the place with friends to do a quick kayaking trip and will definitely be back to enjoy the amenities.

Book your stay! It’s all you’re looking for and more. At least that’s how my fiancée and I felt when we walked in. You will never find something like this, especially for the price. Super quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views from everywhere in the house. Privacy blinds that you can see out of, so when I woke up in the morning I was immediately looking at the beautiful views on the horizon. Nicolas set up so many little details including a fire going in the fireplace when we came in. There was already a clean water bowl set up for our dog who came with us. The house was pristine and well decorated. While I haven’t met Nicolas in person, from his messages and the care he put into preparing the house, he seems like an incredible person. We’ve already picked dates for another trip out in the fall.

The roads leading to the house are steep. The neighborhood is pleasant. The house is nice. The privacy is great. The view from the neighborhood is unforgettable. The surrounding neighborhoods are rural.
This is a rural setting without public transportation. Parking is limited to four cars.

Like all previous guests, my hope is that you will enjoy your visit and return for years to come. Vagabond House was designed to be more of a cottage rather than a house. It is more like a retreat suitable for reflection and relaxing. The scenic view of the valley and mountain ranges seem to always be changing due to the weather and clouds. I chose this location to build this home after many experiences overseas and in the military.
