"Hyattsville, Maryland is an incorporated City in Prince George's County, located along the Route 1 corridor near Washington, DC. The City is located on traditional Algonquin and Iroquois land, with archeological record of settlement dating back 8,000 years.
The City was founded in 1886 by Christopher Clark Hyatt, a landowner and the City's first postmaster. The City grew with the addition of a streetcar line to and from Washington D.C. and thrived as a suburb of the District.
Currently home to a population of around 20,000, Hyattsville is a diverse and welcoming community with a deep connection to the arts and the environment."

Metro: The City is located on WMATA's Green Line with two stops within City limits - West Hyattsville and Hyattsville Crossing. From these stops it is less than a ten-minute ride to some of Washington, D.C.'s, prime neighborhoods for entertainment and work. Bus: The City is served by more than a dozen bus routes that will take you into DC, PG County Mall, the Metro, and many others.
Bike & Pedestrian Travel: There is a huge network of scenic walking/bike trails that will take you anywhere you want to go.

MARC Train: The City is also near the Riverdale MARC train stop. The stop is on MARC's Camden Line, which travels from Baltimore to Washington, D.C.
