Austin’s place has a really cool urban underground vibe. It’s very dry, no basement smell at all. The bed is comfy and the shower has great water pressure. Enjoy!

This space was a lot cheaper than staying in the nearby commercial hotel. I didn't realize a basement space could feel so open and modern. And it looks like there is space for still more rooms if renovations continue. With a half bath outside the bedroom, it's great for inviting fellow conference lecturers over for snacks and conversation. Having a kitchen and full refrigerator meant I could actually store and eat my leftovers (my colleagues weren't as lucky with their microscopic hotel fridge that couldn't even fit my leftover quesadilla box!). Being right on the square made finding food and shopping easy. After I set up my equipment at the venue (only a block away!), my car was able to stay parked right in front of my door, as everything was less than a ten-minute walk away. A big bed, beautiful shower, obscene amount of counter space, and large couch were additional perks that made this apartment my new go-to lodging option if I'm ever invited to teach in Carrollton again!

It’s really more of an experience than a stay! From the moment you enter the unexpected entrance leading you underneath one of the square’s historic buildings, you step back in time with the exposed brick walls and granite foundation yet you have all the modern furnishings and amenities! It was refreshingly unlike anywhere we’ve stayed! And it was so awesome to be within a few steps of downtown. Highly recommend!
