Exton Park, 20 minutes by car from Peterborough and less than 10 from the A1, is home to the Gainsborough family. The house and grounds are occasionally still used for weddings, and regularly as a location for film and photo shoots. The parkland has existed since the 12th Century, and the gardens witnessed performances by Handel in the 18th Century. The old potting shed now forms the on site honesty shop where essential items and local produce can be purchased, making your luxury glamping stay yet more authentic. Environmental considerations have been foremost in the planning and stewardship of the estate, creating and maintaining a diverse habitat and haven for all manner of wildlife and despite being landlocked, one of Rutland's most distinguishing features is the large body of water right at its centre.
