Upon arrival all the entrance windows had been smashed and were boarded up. On the way to our room there was an old bed frame in the stairwell. The rooms it’s self I had to clean all the sides and appliances before we could use them cause they were dusty, the fridge did not work and the light over the shower didn’t have a bulb so no light to get a shower. No coat hangers ( which they said there were) or mirror in the room. When you closed the blinds half were missing so the light off the building shone through all night. I was not made aware that this was a residential building so the corridors had bikes and plants in them the noise was really bad till the early hours and there were a really large gap under the door which didn’t help this. I stayed with my teenage daughter and truthfully I have never felt so unsafe in a places has I did there. I messaged the host to let them know we would be checking out early but got no reply.

The apartment was very dirty upon arrival which is ridiculous as the host charges a £60 cleaning fee and this is for nothing clearly. The apartment was unsafe as the property had multiple windows put out during my stay at the entrance of the property, it seemed like it was a half way house in all honestly and didn’t feel safe here at all, when I checked in the residents in the lobby told me it was a terrible place to stay and I was scared to hear this, the staff checking me in took 20 minutes to come and give me the key and didn’t seem to be aware of my arrival at all, the room was different to in the pictures and a leaflet for pest control was put under the door during my stay, I sent a message to the host to express my concerns and nothing was done, I have many photos of the apartment which will show how disgusting it was but luckily for the host I don’t seem to be able to post. This is the Sunderland property, please don’t waste your money to stay here.
