Beautiful location. 2 min walk to Thunder Cove and this is a spectacular beach. The house is comfortable. No AC, but very clean and perfect for a large group. Kennsington PEI has a full service grocery store, this is about 10 min away. PEI is a beautiful and this house is in a perfect location. Host was great. We had all we needed and great communication.

The house is in a beautiful area, you couldn't ask for a nicer beach. The house can easily accommodate multiple families and has a huge breezeway that was probably our favorite spot. The house does not have the basic amenities as listed, black pepper and low sodium salt were the only "basics" that were made available. We ended up having to buy our own toilet paper, paper towel, hand soap, and ant traps (ant infestation in one of the bathrooms). There are notices on both fridges that state the water is non-potable, so we bought water that we could drink. The mosquitoes while we were there were insatiable, if there wasn't a breeze we were driven inside as mosquito repellent wasn't enough to hold them off. There is an aggressive recycling program on the island that requires diligence when sorting waste. The waste management program was not an issue for us, but the accusations a full week after we had left (new guests arrived the day we departed and stayed for the following week) that we didn't follow the rules, and requesting large, monetary compensation was unfounded. The owner accused us of not following the rules without asking any information, without seeking to clarifiy, without following up with any other guests. It was a week later, from thousands of kilometers away that I was having to try and prove that we sorted our garbage correctly. Have you ever taken photos of your garbage? I would recommend you do if you stay here! After insisting that it wasn't us, and asking for proof, the owner sent us photos of the garbage. I could tell 100% that it wasn't us, they were products we hadn't bought or used, but there was really no way for me to prove that. He finally followed up with the other guests after my insistence it wasn't us, reiterating that when garbage was collected while we were there we had no issues. He finally conceded it wasn't us, that it was in fact the guests after us. He did this without an apology, without any acceptance for the accusations he slung around, or understanding that it's next to impossible to prove a week after you've left that you followed the guidelines. I wouldn't recommend this rental as it's currently listed.

The cottage has a lovely location and view and we recommend it for family groups. The central passageway with a large dining room and “retractable walls” is an especially nice feature. Ed was communicative and reachable as needed but most of the information we needed was on AirBnB site and instructions at the place. Be prepared for a rustic experience. The water is not potable and there is no dishwasher. There is also no Wifi and cellular coverage is weak so be prepared to be off the grid during your stay.

A fantastic cottage(s) withaple space for large groups. Ideal for young families given the configuration. Two minute walk from an incredible beach and centrally located in the island so that you’re only 30 minutes from great attractions.
