For cycling enthusiasts, we have secured covered storage for your bikes and we’re close to popular cycling routes. The Tour de France has previously, as recently as 2023, used the D675 near to our property on the tour route. Explore our expansive outdoor space, including a large paddock with picnic table, a woodland walk, a pétanque area, and a covered games room with table tennis, dartboard, and pool table. There’s a trampoline, handball/badminton along with board games for everyone to enjoy. Make the most of sunny days with a BBQ and outdoor seating. We’re situated in the heart of the beautiful and unspoiled Parc naturel régional Perigord Limousin which is known for its picturesque landscapes, encompassing lush forests, meandering rivers, lakes and charming villages. It’s renowned for outdoor activities like hiking, biking, fishing, and exploring historical sites such as castles and prehistoric caves. The park also focuses on conservation efforts, preserving the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the region. Our Gîtes provide an ideal base from which to explore the beauty and charm of this part of France. The main house is a renovated 1860s Watermill which is where we live. Our Gîtes are located in a separate building away from our house which allows our guests complete privacy during their stay but we are available for help and advice at any time. We have two Gîtes Le Pic Vert and the Martin Percher, and they can be booked together for up to 12 people or separately for six people. Each Gite is bright and spacious and both have beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Pool-our 8 x 4 m swimming pool opens at the end in May and the water temperature is generally 25°. The pool is up to 1.75 m deep. The pool is shared with the neighbouring gîte. The terraced pool area is accessed via gravel path behind the gites making easily accessible. It is surrounded by a large paddock and countryside views in a private setting. All pool towels are supplied for your convenience. The pool area is screened by wooden fences and gate which are to be kept shut at all times. An alarm system provides further peace of mind. Sun loungers, deck chairs and tables and chairs are provided. We cannot guarantee the pool will be fully heated or open outside these dates as it is subject to prevailing weather conditions. If the conditions are suitable between September and April, the pool can be heated at a cost of €175 per week. This would give a minimum temperature of 22°, but it’s possible that weather conditions would allowers to fully heat it.
