Top verblijf gehad! Mooier dan de foto's zelfs. Zwembad is vooral om in af te koelen en minder om in te zwemmen. Uitzicht top! Ligt wel op een heuvel waardoor ik niet met eigen TukTuk naar boven zou durven rijden. Soms ook moelijk te vinden door Pick me chauffeurs maar dan hielp de eigenaar om het telefonisch uit te leggen aan de chauffeur en kwam het snel goed. Aanrader!!!

Location: It's a 30 minute walk or 15 minute TukTuk ride from the very busy town center, so it's pretty quiet. The view is amazing! And since the house is on a hill with no other houses directly above or below, it's very private as well. Room: There's some general wear and tear, but the room was squeaky clean and very spacious. Water bottles and a kettle for coffe or tea are provided. Bed was comfy, bathroom also clean and with a very nice shower. Pool: Squeaky clean as well and very nicely situated. Nice view and a private garden for relaxing. But: The pool isn't very deep! Don't expect to be able to do some heavy swimming exercises. There is a small section which is a bit deeper but mostly it's for sitting and relaxing. Breakfast: The European style breakfast is nothing special, but it's good and there was plenty of food for one person. I usually couldn't finish everything. There's toast with butter and jam, an omelette with some sausages and fresh fruit as well as juice and (instant) coffee/tea. All in all a great place to stay if you want something a bit away from the noise and smog of Kandy town. The owners are very nice and helpful as well!

The hotel is quite far away from the city of Kandy, and feels a bit desolate. The place has seen better days, it’s very clean but could do with a little freshning up. The pool looked like nobody used it in a while, there were cushions to put on the beds. I was somewhat dissapointed. Staff is very nice and helpful though, and as said: very clean indeed! View from the balcony is pretty amazing.

Exactly as advertised, the view is breathtaking, short Tuk trip away from kandy town, steep road to the location but the Tuk had no problem going for it! The breakfast (omelette, toast, watermelon juice, butter, jam, yogurt, banana and tea/coffee) was a great start of the day, not typical Sri Lankan but good nonetheless. The host(s) are super friendly, welcoming and extra points for making breakfast for the time agreed the day before! Overall highly recommended. Enjoy your travels. Charles and Rachael
