Take a break and unwind in this peaceful spot, right on the edge of the New Forest. This stunning area has so much to offer, in addition to 219 miles of National Park, much of which is unfenced, there is easy access to Christchurch, with it's impressive priory and harbour. A half hour drive will get you to Salisbury, Bournemouth and Poole, with the market town of Ringwood is just 10 minutes away. It's a short walk from a country pub and close to 2 farm shops. Golf, fishing & cycling nearby. The Old Stables is just that ! Our old stables have been converted into clean, comfortable accommodation, with fields opposite, where horses graze. The property is situated just inside our electric gates and free parking is just outside your accommodation. Our property is further down the drive. There is a small fenced garden, laid mainly to lawn, where you can relax and soak up the sunshine as it is south facing, or sit on the bench in the shade of the apple tree. Dogs are very welcome (we have dogs). and throws are provided so they can get on the furniture if that is what they are used too. We also have a warm water hose outside so you can wash of those dirty paws! The Old Stables has a lovely loung/dining area with patio doors onto the garden. There is wifi & a tv, books & local information. The kitchen has an oven, fridge & most thing you will need (or just ask & we will try & supply it). The bedroom has a king size bed, bedside tables & lamps a chest of drawers & TV. The ensuite is spacious with a heated towel rail & large walk in shower. In the winter there is underfloor heating throughout to keep you cosy. We are situated right on the edge of the New Forest and just a short walk from the property, you will cross a cattle grid where you will see wild ponies, cattle & donkeys roaming freely. There is a lovely country pub less than 10 minutes walk away (The Royal Oak) & 2 farm shops close by, both of which do excellent breakfast & lunch. (Hockeys Farm Shop & The Potting Shed). The walking is endless & you will likely see deer. You may also see Buzzards, Red Kite & Curlew on your walks. There are numerous cycle tracks across the forest with stunning views & plenty of country pubs to choose from. We can store your bikes for you or point you in the direction of local cycle hire. The water park is just nearby and there is easy access to golf courses. There are water ski & sailing lakes close by and of course the beach (some are dog friendly all year) are only about half an hour away. Salisbury, Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch & Southampton are all easily accessible by car.
