This home was built in 1928 and is famous for its romantic Spanish stye charm and is situated on an oversized bluff-top lot. This Doheny home is known as Palisades Home #1. It is the 1st home of Ned Doheny's development. It is a one story Spanish Colonial house commissioned by Ned Doheny and most likely designed by his architect, Roy Kelley. This used to be the home of Harry Leyden from 1929-1945 after the unexpected death of Ned Doheney. Artist Louise Leyden and her husband, Don, also lived the home for 2 years. The home is a symbol of the areas most famous family. The family gave 3.5 miles of beach front land to the state which is now known as Doheny State Beach.
