Our family of 3 stayed at Steve and Lisa's place for a 5 day trip to DC. The location is very convenient, steps to the nearest metro station, a large and a small grocery store and many excellent places to eat. The walk to the mall is about 30 minutes. The place is very convenient for a group of 3 with 2.5 bathrooms, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen and bathrooms in great shape. The furniture in the living area does show more wear than the pictures, but is perfectly usable. The kitchen could benefit from an update of some of the cookware. With the variety of eateries in the area, there is no need to use the kitchen, but if you plan to use it, I recommend reaching out to the hosts ahead of the trip. They were very responsive, but the logistics of getting an additional frying pan during our stay was not very convenient. Overall it was a positive experience and we had a good stay!
Cute little place. Very clean inside. We had an issue with the bathtubs backing up, but we were able to clean one and the hosts came out the next day to clean the other. The water pressure in the bathroom sinks upstairs was low. The location was pretty good. We didn't really have any issues with people in the area. They were remodeling the place in the back and they kept the lights on throughout the night. The blinds blocked most of it. We ran into a few homeless people as we walked to and from the Capitol and surrounding areas, but nothing that made us feel unsafe. There's a great Safeway not too far from the place as well, which was really nice. They could really use a new mattress in the guest bedroom upstairs. The springs were loud every time we'd move and it was worn in the middle so we always kept sliding into each other. Very tight squeeze on the pullout bed downstairs. We had 5 people for our stay. Overall we had a great experience! The hosts were responsive and friendly. THX!
We enjoyed our stay. The unit was updated, clean, and comfortable. The subway is a short walk and the bus stop is just a few feet away. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Trader Joe’s within walking distance too!
Perfect for our family trip to DC! No problem finding Parking on the street, and an easy walk to the Metro. We took the Metro everywhere!

We have been living in DC and/or Baltimore since 2010. We love welcoming people to our places in both cities, as well as traveling to others. We've enjoyed Airbnbs from as close as Richmond to all the way in Bali. We are laid back, culturally curious and love good food and good drinks. Steve is now a realtor in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia, so let us know if you're moving to our area! He handles buying and listing, but even rentals as well!
