Outside BUS looks like an old 1980's Scania Bus but inside she is classy, simple, elegant and beautiful. Bus is totally off grid using solar power. You can make use of the full galley kitchen with free standing gas over and gas hot water. Diesel heating for cozy winter times. BUS is in a tranquil bush setting and has outdoor BBQ. We are near Castlemaine BUS is located down the hill in a private and secluded area of the property. Bus is most suited for shorter people, she has a low roof and small spaces. If you are over 6ft tall you will find it challenging to stand up fully or to have a shower as the shower space is quite small. Having said that my friend has stayed in BUS and he is 6ft4" and he managed. BUS is completely off grid utilising Solar, bottled gas and diesel for heating. Upon entry you will see that BUS is a working diesel passenger bus. You can sit in the seat and pretend to drive her but please avoid pressing any buttons or starting the engine. You can hang your coats and pop your shoes on the shoe rack located in the entry way. Bring slip on shoes with you as BUS has a shoes - off policy. BUS has a small bamboo dining table with two chairs and a gorgeous 1960's Scandi couch to cuddle up on. Read a good book or just gaze out the window into the nature. BUS has a mixture of vintage, natural and new elements. The vintage lights provide a warm cozy atmosphere but there is also great lighting via roof LED's. BUS has a fully equipped galley kitchen with gas cooktop and oven and electric grilling. There is an electric kettle and toaster for summer usage and a kettle for the cook top for winter in poor solar times. Most kitchen items are supplied along with tea, coffee, organic hot chocolate and herbal teas. Olive oil, salt and pepper as well as paper towels are supplied but you will need to bring your own spices etc. Tea pot, coffee pot and coffee plunger with hand coffee grinder. There is an overhead fan that we urge you to use as its a small space and kitchen smells can permeate. Best to cook outside when possible in the undercover area. There is no aircon but there are fans. It can get warm in summer but it always cools at night. More reason to explore outdoors and to enjoy the nature that surrounds you! BUS has a small pantry with small washing machine that is not to be used. The shower area has a small shower with hot water and separate basin. Liquid soap is supplied along with shampoo and conditioner. No hair dryers as they take too much power thanks. The separate toilet is a dry composting toilet ( Instructions on how to use are on the wall). There is a hand basin as well. In the bedroom space you will find a very comfortable sleeping duck queen bed mattress with bed threads linen bedding. 100% cotton sheets, feather doona, bamboo pillows and feather European pillows. BUS is small but she is luxurious. You will also have linen bath sheets and BHUMI organic cotton bath sheets to lux out with. Two elegant bedside lights will provide ample reading light but there are also LED lights above the bed and USB ports throughout. There is no WIFI on BUS so you can practice tuning in to Nature instead. There is good TELSTRA mobile phone coverage so you can tether if you need to. Outside there is a four burner barbecue with wok burner. When possible please use the barbecue to cook on. Particularly meat. There is an undercover area with cane lounge and chair and table. A hammock is available as well. BUS is newly listed so other amenities and attractions will be added into the future. Nature is our best attraction and we urge you to enjoy the tranquility and quiet rest thats possible whilst staying in BUS. BUS is available for short-term accommodation but also longer term of up to 1 month. There is also a Retreat option for staying in BUS. You can have private meditation guidance, yoga, massage. You can also choose to have your meals cooked during your retreat. Vegetarian and vegan meals are available that must be pre-ordered via Fran.
