We had a lovely stay at Old Fairview Cabin. The space is cozy, impeccably clean, and very well located. It took us about 10 minutes to drive to the quaint little town of Abingdon. Phyllis was a caring host and made sure we were well taken care of. I highly recommend this Cabin during your stay in Abingdon.

We loved staying in Phyllis’s cabin….it was beautiful & peaceful nestled in a wooded area within lovely landscape. Felt like stepping back in time—but had all the modern amenities we needed. Phyllis & her husband were the perfect balance of warm & welcoming, yet respectful of our privacy. We were in Abingdon for a wedding, but hope to return soon and look forward to staying here again.

If you get the opportunity to book Phyllis’ cabin, please do! It is beyond adorable. You’ll want to stay forever. Check-in was super easy and the place was squeaky clean!Communication was excellent and Phyllis and her husband were available if we needed anything. Loved hearing the cows and donkey around sunset as we built a fire and roasted marshmallows on the back porch. But our favorite little guy was Benny, Phyllis’ dog. He is super sweet and hung out on the porch with us a little while one evening. This little cabin was so cozy and felt like home. It’s a short 5 minute drive into Abingdon where we enjoyed dinner on the porch at The Peppermill, highly recommend. We also made the bike ride down the Virginia Creeper Trail. I recommend that, too. But if you choose to stay at the cabin the whole time, I promise you will enjoy the peace and quiet it offers if you are just looking to get away and relax. Thank you Phyllis and David!! The Taylors

My wife and I couldn’t have asked for a better honeymoon spot — a cozy cabin tucked away in the beautiful Virginia countryside, and only 5-8 minutes from charming downtown Abington. Great location for ease of access to shops and restaurants in town and home base for excursions into the mountains for hiking and other activities. The Thomases were wonderful hosts — friendly, welcoming, eager and ready to assist with our needs, responsive and flexible with our schedule getting in and when we decided we wanted to stay an extra night at the last minute. We are very grateful for all they’ve done to make this special place available and looking forward to our next getaway there!
