I do not recommend. The host was late to provide access codes to the apartment and when I arrived at the stay they saw that they never sent the email. The neighborhood was very unsafe and had several substance-addicted people at the door of stay and along the block. I was asked for money or followed every time I left the building. I didn't feel comfortable leaving the building after dark. The front desk sent a self proclaimed "building maintenance" person to my door 45 minutes before check out and he came to the door very abrasive 3 times. It was a very unsafe experience and I am not pleased with the stay. I do not recommend.

The communication with Placemakr was one of the worst experiences I've had on Airbnb. Because the host is not a person, it's a company - and therefore they have an external check-in process which involves emailing, an online form, submitting credit card details. All of this was not communicated ahead of time and should definitely be included in the description of the place so guests can understand this before they book it. In order to check-in you have to fill out all this information before you receive a code. We asked to be able to drop off our luggage early which they agreed to, but only received the code hours after the time we'd arranged to drop them off. Communication with the Placemakr team on the Airbnb app was so frustrating with multiple people responding late, or with conflicting answers. Checking in was the most annoying experience. Once we actually managed to get inside, the place was lovely and as described. Luxurious bed, great bathroom and kitchen.
