Rebecca was a fantastic host! We stayed her for 1 night as we had a wedding in the area and it was perfect for us. Cute little place with a great vibe. Rebecca made check in and check out super easy. Thanks again for a wonderful visit!
Can’t say enough great things about Rebecca and her quaint cabin in the hills. The running creek made it so special and serene. Perfect for a little getaway! We will definitely be returning.
This place is amazing, my fiancé and I had such a great time, so much to do around the area, beautiful scenery and it was amazing listening to the frogs at night. I’ll definitely come back to this place.
My family and I loved this place so much! We were needing a sanctuary and this is exactly it. We felt so at home in this place it made me want to live there! The area is gorgeous and I loved waking up to the sounds of the brook nearby, and beautiful greenery. Rebecca was very kind and helped us find a great place to park our bus (RV). This place has a ton of character and if you are looking for a rustic stay in the woods where you can feel completely at home then this is it!

Howdy! I pulled up stakes in Los Angeles to head for the quiet life after being a native Angeleano all my life. I bought the High Country Hobo Preserve in 2017 and am dedicated to restoring it to its original condition. I envision a space where friends and family can check out from the stressors of life. Me, my hound dog Macaroni, and five cats Pink-Nose, Manny, Button, Pirate, and Nacho reside in the main cabin on the property. The main cabin built in 1890 was originally a small one room stone cabin constructed by a woman who bartered with Native American Groups for stones from Mt. Laguna to build her home. Over the years the main cabin, now my bedroom, has been added on to however the structure still maintains its original character. My interests lay in anything historical including camping, gold panning, metal detecting, thrift store gutting, ghost towns, stopping at historic markers, great conservations with strangers over a good craft beer, and entertaining friends and family.
