You won’t forget the peaceful surroundings of this rustic destination. Set in the hills of North Alabama, it is a hidden treasure. Stay in a former Trading Post that has been converted to a guest room. Walk the trails that lead to waterfalls, caves, and the ranch name's sake, Sullivan Creek. You are also likely to glimpse cowboys on horseback, working cattle or their horses, wildlife, and have a front row seat to breathtaking sunsets. We are a working cattle ranch and event venue. In 2020 we converted our equipment barn into a Trading Post where we sold our beef. Emily Anderson, a professional artist, also has her art studio, Cattle and Canvas, attached to the space. Now, due to the demand of guests wanting overnight accommodations, we have turned the space into a guest house. While the art studio is still operational, guests now have the entire barn to themselves. There is a large main room with bar, kitchenette, as well as a living room space. This main area is not currently climate controlled, however, it is usually very comfortable due to the outdoor breeze and ceiling fans. The old Trading Post serves as the bedroom which does have a window unit for heating and A/C. If you would like to grill, we provide a small charcoal grill, a small Blackstone grill or a firepit that has a cooking grate. We encourage our guests to embrace the activity that happens on a daily basis around here. Ask questions, come watch, join in the adventure!

The Sullivan Creek ranch is an amazing place. Emily is a special host, we felt like we were at home and she even cooked us the meat that we couldn't cook😃! However the meat in this place is really delicious! Ted is a true and kind Cowboy, super helpful and very nice and gentle with our two children, he trasmitted us his love for his work and his animals. The location is easy to find, not far from the main road. The room is clean, very beautiful and full of country details. We also had a relaxing picnic near the creek, with a good cowboy stew and a cake prepared directly by Emily (I asked for the receipt 😅). We really enjoyed our time with them and next time we are in Alabama we will be back for sure!
We really enjoyed the weekend, beautiful landscape, and restful experience. The detailed descriptions were accurate and could not have been happier with the accommodations that were exactly what we were looking for and needed for a relaxing couple of days to ourselves and away from our busy schedules. Kristen and Emily were quick to answer any questions, even before we arrived, which was very helpful. The personal touches were a welcomed surprise upon our entry into the Trading Post, as well. We would highly recommend booking a few days here!
Our stay here was absolutely amazing! Kristin met us at the door, brought in our bags and showed us around. The owner Emily and host Kristin have paid attention to absolutely every detail. The decor is so perfect, right down to Emily’s custom artwork. The beds are SO comfortable and the bedding is super cozy, I could have slept until noon! But, I didn’t want to miss out on the gorgeous surroundings! The ranch is breathtaking with rolling hills and hidden rainforest-like hiking trails. I really can’t say enough about how beautiful this place is and I can’t wait to return!
