The trip to Andrea’s beautiful home was more like having a holiday in an extremely thoughtful friend’s house. The house is really well equipped and large enough to hold a group but still felt very cosy. We had everything we needed to hand, and Andrea had anticipated what the visit might be like with suggestions for rainy day activities, advice on what to bring and some lovely local treats when we arrived. It was a five star experience. On her recommendation we went to Kia Ora farm, which both the children and adults loved, and for a lovely walk in the beautiful local woods. There’s loads to do locally and it’s a short drive to Gorey but this idyll among the trees is so nice you might just want to stay put.
