Located overlooking Dorchester’s beautiful, tranquil Borough Gardens, this very spacious two bedroom flat provides the perfect place to enjoy a break in splendid Dorset’s historic county town. The property is only a two minute walk from the main high street of the town with its shops, museums and historic buildings. It is also within easy, level walking distance to the two train stations and many bus routes. A free parking space included allows guests to visit all area of the county with ease. The property is on the top floor of a three storey, ornate, Victorian house, built alongside similar houses and villas to enhance the outer fringes of the local park. The accommodation on offer has a floor space of eight hundred square feet providing plenty of room to spread out. All the rooms are located off a central hall, brightly lit by a large skylight. There are two large bedrooms. The first complete with a king size bed, dressing table, sofa, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The second is laid out with twin beds and all the furniture required for a comfortable and relaxed stay. Two people sharing would have access to either, the main bedroom with the king size bed or the twin bedroom at the listed rental price. A second room would be rented at an extra cost of £15 per guest per night. If a second bedroom is not required the bed/beds in this room will not be made up. There is a large lounge, having an arched window with leafy views out over the Borough Gardens. Furnishings comprise a TV with Freeview and Netflix, reclining 3 seater leather sofa, and reclining armchair, coffee table and book case with many books and games for relaxing days. Adjacent to the lounge is a spacious dining area comprising a large dining table with 4 chairs. A sideboard contains all the equipment you may need for in-house dining. The kitchen has been newly refurbished to a high standard and includes a new slimline dishwasher, microwave oven and compact fridge/freezer. There is a full size electric cooker and washer/drier. The kitchen is fully equipped to allow the preparation of all your culinary dishes. The bathroom is bright, clean and compact. It includes a shower over a full size bath, sink, toilet and a storage unit for your nick-nacks.

Santina and Steve’s communication was excellent and timely: we got all the info we needed to get there and get in. The apartment was very well equipped, tidy, comfortable and clean, and makes a great base to explore Dorchester on foot. Provided parking means it’s easy to strike out further afield too. There’s a nice park across the street which, on the 4th Sunday in the month (starting April 2024), is one end of an artisan market which stretches into town. We have no hesitation in heartily recommending this place and its hosts.
'Nothing is too much trouble' is how we will remember this lovely apartment. Stylish, spacious, spotlessly clean. Every little detail has been carefully thought through. Lots of helpful books and a folder of information and ideas for your stay. Steve, the owner has a fascinating knowledge of Dorchester and the surrounding area - especially all things 'Hardy! Just stay here - you won't regret it!

Santina and Steve's flat is a really lovely and calming place to stay and I would highly recommend it. As hosts Santina and Steve were proactive in getting touch with me to make my arrival at the flat really easy and clear. I visited Dorchester for work but I travelled with my mum who spent the weekend as a tourist and the apartment met both of our needs perfectly. For me, there was everything I needed in order to comfortable work from the apartment including easy wifi instructions, a nice table to sit at and everything I needed in the kitchen to keep caffeinated! For my mum, she was really pleased to read all of the local recommendations and she enjoyed the relaxing and homely feel of the space. Everything was wonderfully clean and Santina and Steve had left thoughtful touches like milk and biscuits which were gratefully received. Many thanks for a lovely stay!
Great stay at Santina and Steve’s airbnb flat in Dorchester. The house and parking was a great find, close to Borough Gardens, restaurants, cafes and museum. Kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable at home stay. Bed and linens super cozy and blackout blind panel for a sleep in! Entertainment: lots of thought in the books, board games and guest Netflix service. Beautiful artwork on the walls. Check in was easy using the passcode provided and entry to the property. I stayed here with my two kids and the kids’ room was lovely with it’s own wardrobe, sitting area, desk and lamp. We had a lovely stay in the flat and loved the location.
