Brilliant place to stay in a great location, all the amenities you’d need and very homely. Would definitely stop again
This was one of the best stays I’ve ever had. The place was expertly renovated with so many thoughtful details. And it was stocked with everything we could have wanted. Great kitchen and bathrooms. Two critiques: we arrived after dark and didn’t see the house numbers until after we’d already gone to the wrong house and not found the lockbox. Secondly, the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful but the messages go to a third party property manager so if you need the hosts, you need to go knock on their door. The description said not to rely on the WiFi but we found it was more than adequate - I think I tested it and got 90 MBPS. I would definitely recommend this place.
Super location close to transport and shops. Very comfortable and well designed layout. It was a bit more expensive than we usually book but definitely worth the cost
Great stay in this 1 bedroom flat in what was originally a coach house. Beautiful modern renovation, spacious rooms (nothing to bump your head on, no creaking or uneven floors) , quality fittings , quality linen. Quiet location and off street parking (yah!). A short walk to Dorchester main shopping areas. Friendly but not intrusive hosts. We were catching up with friends and it was an excellent base for 4 nights while we explored the area. Highly recommended.
Information correct at the time of writing.

Dorset is Thomas Hardy country and a visit to Hardy's Cottage which is a lovely walk away, across fields and footpaths, is one of the many National Trust properties in the area to explore. Max Gate, the former Victorian home of Thomas Hardy and designed by him, is situated on the outskirts of Dorchester and also within walking distance of the town. Clouds Hill, the former home of T.E. Lawrence is an isolated cottage near Wareham and is also run by the National Trust.
Shire Hall is just a short walk away from the property offers an opportunity to see where the Tolpuddle Martyrs were tried and is just one of several museums in the town. The Roman Town House is the only example of a fully exposed Roman property in the country, and is just a 10 minute stroll away.
Maiden Castle on the outskirts of Dorchester is certainly worth exploring, it is one of the largest and most complex Iron Age hillforts in Europe and the size of 50 football pitches.
