Full of character, and right in the heart of Petersfield, close to everything this pretty town has to offer, in a very historic street. It’s convenient for shops, bars and restaurants, the market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, as well as the railway station. PLEASE NOTE - STEEP NARROW STAIRS AND PARKING IS A SHORT DISTANCE AWAY between 8am and 6pm. These factors may make the cottage unsuitable for some guests. Our cottage has a small sitting room with a sofa and additional seating in front of a lovely wood burning stove. We have a good sized kitchen with dining table for four people although it can accommodate six. The kitchen is well equipped with what you might need for a short stay. We have tea, coffee and other basics which you are welcome to use in moderation. Upstairs we have a bathroom with loo, basin and bath, a master bedroom with a Kingsize bed (with a very firm mattress which might not suit all tastes). In addition there is a small sunny bedroom with a single bed and an attic room with single bed. The house is equipped modestly without wardrobes or excessive furniture but is a lovely place to spend time while visiting Petersfield. We have a small yard at the back with a table and chairs. You are welcome to sit outside and enjoy this space. Our staircases are uneven and narrow and we have low ceilings and lots of beams. If you are tall or less agile you might find these a challenge. We ask that you do not enter the cellar or the shed in the garden as these areas are used to store our own things and are not necessarily safe areas to access. You will find that our house is a quiet haven given that it is right in the town. After last orders you may hear people leaving the pub in the street, and you will hear the church bells. We think both of these add to the character and charm of Petersfield life!
