Check w/ host before booking. The house has two floors. The door to enter the house is on the first floor from the parking (one set of stairs to climb). Your bedroom is on the first floor. The bedroom has an attached bathroom and rejuvenating natural light. The first floor also has common areas like the spacious sitting room, office room, dining room, a balcony near the dining room, the kitchen and powder room. These common areas are shared with the second floor guests.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Rachel’s place. The room was incredibly homely, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a true sanctuary. This was my second stay at one of the listings Rachel has. The room is lovely and spacious enough for one person. The pictures and amenities are as listed in the description. The places was super clean. Rachel was always available for any queries/help. I definitely enjoyed my stay here. Would definitely recommend.

The locality is an interesting mix of young families and families who have been there for longer than I remember.
The neighborhood has that special, small-town charm where everyone knows pretty much everyone, and they're always ready with a warm smile or greeting.
If you come with your own vehicle:
There is no public or street parking in the neighborhood so it's probably better to walk if you want to go to the nearby shops and restaurants. If you plan to explore the city by car, there are paid parking lots in the main commercial areas. If this is your first visit to Shillong, brace yourself for the scenic but occasionally steep and narrow roads. :)
If you come without your vehicle:
Public transportation like shared taxis and buses are on the main road
- walking distance from the house.
Shillong also has two-wheeler rental companies.
