Great location, walkable to downtown Bastrop!

My wife and I stayed here during the U.S. Grand Prix for Formula 1...let me just say the Pecan Street Inn and Bastrop as a whole is a wonderful retreat after a full day at the track. Plenty to do and see in the town even if you're not there for the races! Shawn and Bill welcomed us into their home and were great guests. They won't let you feel like you're burdening them with a request and took time to explain the history of the house, Bastrop, and gave us ideas to take with us if we wanted to explore. They also gave us the best places to eat/drink in town according to what we liked. It was fun and really enjoyable to have a "home away from home" and they worked hard to make it feel that way for us. We had a blast, met some great people, and we'd have no problem booking again upon our return to TX.

Shawn and Bill are truly amazing hosts. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. They even met us later to return items we had left behind. They care about their guests and it shows!! Highly recommend their place.

We loved this sweet old house! It's very comfortable, and it's in walking distance of downtown Bastrop. They made a yummy breakfast and were able to work around our food restrictions.Also, I was impressed with the great water pressure in the showers.
