Beautiful cottage, fantastic bedrooms, good hot tub but due to heavy rain and golf ball size hailstones it would have been better if covered, good cooking facilities, comfortable sitting area, very well equipped games room, easy to find and get checked into etc Carla was very quick to answer any queries. The short walk to the local pub is a good 15-20 minutes walk downhill through fields as very dangerous to walk the main roads. We booked into the pub for a meal but after looking at the menu decided it was too expensive for a basic pub grub type meal. The cottage was good for us as we are 4 ladies who live at opposite ends of the country and just wanted a place to spend time together and relax for a few days. I would happily recommend this cottage. Alton Towers is about a 20 minute drive away for those interested in theme parks. Take a packed lunch if going, food and drinks very pricey. We were a group of 3 families having a reunion after a longwhile had memorable time. The property had everything needed for the break. Kids had fun with indoor and outdoor sports as the weather as great! Hot tub was a hit!! Thanks for everything. Would love to visit again!

Beautiful location with the Peak District on the doorstep. Lovely old country house tucked away from bustle of the city, but within a quick drive from Ashbourne for all amenities. Hot tub was a real hit, although some outside feature lighting would add a nice vibe, and help with getting around in the darker months. The house was very cosy, and we cooked dinner at the property, albeit there is a local pub nearby. We really enjoyed our stay here, and look forward to visiting the area again soon.
