The perfect spot for a quick getaway to Murphys. Just a five minute walk to Main Street, but peaceful and quiet. Parking is a little tough, as mentioned in the listing, but we were fine with it. The cottage was cozy and just what we needed to recharge!

The Heard House looks better in person than in the pictures, this is a gem! The trees surround the property and sitting by the gas fire place in the living room felt like being in a tree house. Janet has decorated the place in a cozy and quaint way, the cottage atmosphere is perfect for the location. The Main Street is a block away and Janet left great recommendations for shopping, dining and visiting this historical town. Plus the backyard was perfect for my dog, Luna. We had a wonderful, restful time at the Heard House. Can't recommend this place enough!

We had another great stay at Janet’s place! The cottage is so cozy and comfortable and the surroundings are peaceful yet right next to Main Street! We hope to come back again someday.

Great place, very cute and charming. Great location being within walking distance of all the happenings on Main Street. Parking is inconvenient, not ideal. Murphys isn’t the place to be during the week as many businesses are closed and only open on the weekend.

This is a centrally located cottage. It was very homie and it was the perfect temperature inside. The water pressure is excellent and the kitchen is fully stocked. You do have to park on the street but it’s still not too far from the entrance. Janet was very responsive and answered any and all questions we had. This was a great stay.
