We enjoyed the wonderful jungle life. We learned lots of interesing things about farming in the jungle and about many herbs and fruits. It was so great to meet such interesting and lovely people. Food was made with much love and fresh every day from the garden. Our stay was really short, only three nights this time, but Im sure if we have the possibklity to travel to Costa Rica again, we will return here.

We spend three days at Finca Las Hormigas with our little 1 year old daughter. The place is a farm, run by a volunteer program and aiming to sustain itself using Permaculture (which you can learn everything about on the farm. A great opportunity!). The people on the farm were super nice and welcoming. The food was delicious and there is always some food when you should need it. The bungalows are large and we had a private shower. Manuel (the host) was super nice and took some time to give us a tour. We did a jungle tour during the day. The Finca provides boots. Also we did a night tour and saw a boa constrictor! There is so much to learn and experience. One of the highlights is the yoga shelter on the top of a hill which makes for a very spiritual experience. To reach the Finca a 4x4 is recommended. We only made it over on hill after the 4th attempt. But there is the option to get a taxi. Write to Manuel and ask what would be best! The internet is sufficient for messaging and at one spot also for calls or videos. I can absolutely recommend to go. It was one of the highlights of our trips! Enjoy the jungle!

The Finca was beautiful. And the hosts Mathilde and Adolfo were super friendly and welcoming. The room is the perfect place to rest with all the sound that nature has to offer. The place is very calm and the food delicious. Hosts are also very happy to teach you everything that’s going on in the farm. Lovely place to rest, be surrounded by nature and learn about permaculture. Recommend 🙌🏻
