We had a very nice stay!
We had a strange stay here. On the one hand the house is lovely. It well organized, well decorated, sweet town/location. On the other, the listing isn't fully accurate and there were a number of small issues that added up. 1. The fireplace is not functional which was a big bummer for us. No fire after a day of skiing 👎🏻. 2. There are no toys/board games as listed which was frustrating since we came with kids who were bored quite quickly. 3. The owner oddly accused us of taking home their towels and asked that we pay for new ones (we did not, but we paid anyway). 4. In middle of our trip he asked if he could charge his ring camera. He came over (did not say hello) & then used it to count how many guests we had. I understand now that he lives next door and I guess was watching us from there. Apparently there was a limit on guests (4 FYI) which also was not listed & he requested an additional $400+ (on top of the the towels). All in all, not our best Airbnb stay. Wouldn't stay here again
We needed a last minute booking and Alexander was wonderful!
We had a great stay at Alexander's place! The location was pretty and private, while only a 5 min drive to the center of Putney. Everything was spotless and homey, including a well-stocked pantry, and heating system that kept us nice and cozy during our winter visit. We especially appreciated the house plants. We will definitely be back!
The place was very spacious as advertised, and Alex was very communicative. We had a lovely stay!

Welcome to Putney, Vermont! We are experienced hosts who live in Putney and are committed to providing lovely and comfortable accommodations for people of diverse backgrounds to enjoy this wonderful and welcoming community! There is so much to enjoy in this town: hiking, biking, orchards, small farms, music, shopping, food, crafts, foliage. Putney is beautiful all year round, with its streams, river, back-road rambles, hilly landscape, local organic farms, craft tours, galleries, potters, a thriving music scene, local cheeses and more! We’re close to many destinations: Kippling’s house, ski slopes, must visit downtowns like Bellows Falls and Brattleboro with their local coffee shops and restaurants. We are close to The Putney School and Landmark College (our downtown apartments are walking distance from the college). Putney is a small historic town with a lot of character and provides a gateway to the rest of Vermont. Although we are in a different locale from where we started, we have maintained our aesthetic for a bright, soothing, relaxed environment.
