If you want to experience what true Alaskans experience during their fishing season and environment there I highly recommend this place. Staying on a boat is something I've always done growing and since I retired from fishing this has been a wonderful experience that reminded me of my younger years. The sounds of the water hitting the side of the boat while sleeping was music to my ears. Hearing giant ravens walk on the roof in the morning time was nostalgic. Bring amongst all the friendly fisherman and boat owners was fun and each person was willing to have good conversation with me. I'll definitely be back. If you come to Alaska come have a true Alaskan experience and stay here.

I stayed in Brendan's boat-airB&Bs with my family (a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old kids). I enjoyed the stay very much. My 5yo son seemed to enjoy it too, but it was challenging for my 2yo daughter because stairs and chairs were set high for her. My wife was a bit tired from some oil smell in/outside the harbor. So there were some challenges for family members, but we knew that we stayed in not a hotel but a boat! It offered a unique experience with a nice adventurous atmosphere, and my family enjoyed it overall. Brendan offered and supported all we needed during the stay. She even kindly let us use her car freely when needed. That was really helpful especially because we visited Sitka with kids in rainy October. The room was equipped with a dehumidifier and portable heaters so it was not too cold or humid. This place may not be suitable for a long stay, but I would definitely recommend Brendan's boat for a short stay and visit to Sitka.

Brendan and Rachel were excellent hosts and helped us make a plan for our time in Sitka. They also prepared us for the limited public transportation in Sitka over the weekend and Labor Day holiday. I would recommend staying on the boat if you wanted a relaxing place in town after some hiking.

After minor hiccups that were taken care of, my stay was "smooth sailing". It was an easy walk to town which made for a great experience. I got to see and learn so much more about Sitka walking rather than driving. The location was wonderful!!!

Bateau confortable, hôte très serviable, gentille et arrangeante. Toujours à l'écoute et prompte a répondre. Une voiture nous a été prêtée pour venir de l'Aéroport, et nous avons pu utiliser les kayaks également. Port très calme avec les pygargues et le lever de soleil. Plein de petites attentions nous attendaient Merci beaucoup,séjour très agréable dans le siège du Capitaine !
