Imagine walking out the front door and seeing Utah's red-rock mountains staring back at you! You walk down the street and suddenly you are on a mountain trail that leads to dinosaur tracks. You return home from one of the many incredible sights around Kanab and relax in a hammock or gather around a firepit. Or maybe challenge someone to a game of foosball or cornhole. At the end of the day, enjoy the night sky, see the stars and enjoy the quiet surroundings. Welcome to the Kanab Paradise House! The Kanab Paradise House is a large, 4 bedroom 4 bathroom house sitting on a 1-acre lot on the edge of Kanab within walking distance to two trailheads. Kanab is close to many state and national parks, including Zion and Bryce National Parks and the Grand Canyon. Also close to Lake Powell and several slot canyons. We welcome friend and family gatherings and the home has 3 gathering rooms in addition to a nice backyard patio area with a BBQ and firepit. Games include foosball, spikeball, cornhole and basketball. THE LAYOUT -High speed free wifi internet connection throughout the house. -Three-level house can accommodate two or more separate families. UPSTAIRS -Master bedroom and bathroom on upper level of house with king bed and great views. -Upstairs bedroom with queen bed and bunkbeds with a bathroom in the hall. MAIN FLOOR -Main level has a fully-stocked kitchen with 8-seat dining table, 3 bar stools, a family room, and a living room with a TV. -Main level has a half bathroom. DOWNSTAIRS -Downstairs bedroom with a king bed. -Downstairs bedroom with a queen bed and bunkbeds. -Downstairs family room with TV and full bathroom. -Downstairs has a washer and dryer in the utility room. Utility room also has spikeball, cornhole, and coolers for you to use. LOCATION: - Rural, yet within city limits -20 minutes from Best Friends Animal Society, sand caves, Belly of the Dragon, Peekaboo slot canyon, and Coral Pink Sand Dunes. -40 minutes from Zion National Park -60 minutes to Wire Pass/Buckskin Gulch, The Wave, Toadstools hike and more. -Less than 2 hours from the Grand Canyon and Bryce National Parks. -There are numerous other hikes, slot canyons, and national monuments a short distance away. AMENITIES: -Basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc.) -Towels and washcloths -Hair dryers, coffee maker, bbq grill, microwave, toaster -Fully-stocked kitchen and more: does have crockpot and large griddle THE RULES -Absolutely no smoking or pets on property, inside or outside. No candles or fireworks of any kind on property. -Please remove outdoor shoes once inside the house, and use the sandstone drink coasters we have provided for beverages. -Please do not leave flood lights on outside of the house on late at night. This disturbs the neighbors! -We welcome guests of all ages, language, culture, heritage and lifestyle.

The house was great, well suited for our large group. It had lots of space to allow multiple activities and still large enough when we all came together, as well as very comfortable. Mike was very responsive to questions and needs when we reached out to him. We are planning on coming back again.
Mike is a terrific host. He was always responsive and gave us some great suggestions for restaurants and activities in the area. There were 7 of us in the house and it never felt crowded or tight. We arrived after dark and when I opened the curtains in the master bedroom in the morning, the view took my breath away. The house has well posted directions and everything you could need for your stay there. We especially enjoyed the outdoor fire pit in the evening after our hikes. The location is perfect to e able to access the many natural beauty in the area. I highly recommend Mike and his paradise home.

Great location, beautiful house, very nice host! We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to come back again soon! The house has all that’s needed for big families or groups. Cookware, silverware, linens, appliances etc are all very good! They have entertainment, games, even a high chair and stroller for little kids that came super handy to us. Host Mike was very responsive and helpful. The location is very scenic and has tons to do. I definitely recommend it!
Edge of Kanab was conveniently located to go and do so much, even in the shortened daylight hours of the winter months. And it was still private and beautiful. You could walk to hikes and drive to lots of places, a guest book in the home became our guide, we would take it with us and fill our days. The house was very comfortable for 2 families, lots of hang out spaces, littles, teens and adults had their own space. Spacious kitchen. Could have used a little better seating options for everyone for a sit down meal, (the table sat 7)but other than that, we loved it. We were a large group for one meal and just ate in shifts. The counter was just too high to eat at with the existing chairs. A card table with chairs that could be set up for a full group would have sufficed. We only needed it for one meal when we had 11 there, but just a thought. The laundry facilities were nice and noticed the coolers and baby pack n play there, nice extras if needed.
