An absolutely beautiful barn conversion situated on a courtyard. Susan gave us a friendly welcome with a visit to the orphan lambs she looks after. A lovely collection of food/drinks inside and slept soundly in the comfy beds with the sounds of the stream just outside the window.

Absolutely fantastic place, lives up to the name of Rivendell with an idyllic stream passing just by the house which made the whole place extremely peaceful. Very cosy overall and the children loved feeding the lambs every morning

We had such a lovely stay with Susan & Jim. If you are considering staying here. Don’t hesitate. Our 2 children loved staying with the lambs and there are beautiful walks up on the wall as well as nearby museums and pubs. We felt so welcomed and well looked after during our stay. The house and location is perfect for relaxing and exploring. We can’t say enough good things about our stay - everything was perfect and we plan on returning!

What a lovely place! I’m almost reluctant to be too honest because this is a hidden gem that could easily become very hard to get back into once word is out! Beautiful surroundings, spotlessly clean and a real home away from home. Susan and Jim are brilliant hosts, so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They were lovely with my 8 year old daughter and allowing us to help with the (very cute) lambs was the icing on the cake. The welcome package was streets ahead of any others that we have had in both quality and thoughtfulness. Cannot wait to return.
