The Summerhouse is a beautifully appointed cabin nestled into the side of Kennall Valley. Boasting an enclosed south facing balcony, it enjoys fabulous far reaching views, perfect for an evening drink, a BBQ, or a relax in the steaming waters of the wood fired hot tub Inside, the Summerhouse combines luxury & practicality with a large double room & en-suite, a spacious lounge & kitchen with cooking facilities. There is also a sofa bed, smart TV, heating and Wi-Fi for less clement weather. The great beauty of the Summerhouse, is the tranquillity. To be so close to all that Cornwall offers, whilst then being able to retreat back to a peaceful private space is a breath of fresh air. The large private balcony for BBQ's or an evening drink whilst enjoying the sunset is a fantastic experience. Slipping into the wood fired hot tub is the perfect end to any day. However, even when the weather doesn't pay ball, the summerhouse is the perfect place to snuggle down with a good book. We have created a warm and cosy cabin that you will feel totally at home in. The Summerhouse also enjoys a private entrance and parking space just behind the cabin itself, so you can come and go as you please without being disturbed. Had the most lovely stay at the summer house. Everything was immaculate upon arrival. Lou and Ben were always on hand to help when needed and gave us some lovely recommendations. Absolutely amazing Hosts. We definitely have plans to come back for a longer stay☺️

We had a wonderful long weekend in the Summerhouse. Lou and Ben were very friendly, welcoming and super helpful. It's a tranquil peaceful location but it is also pretty handy to get to both Falmouth and Truro and beyond. The hot tub was a wonderful treat and we enjoyed the firepit too. The weather was pretty mixed during our trip and the heaters did a good job when it was cold. I am sure we will be back! Thank you!

A lovely get away from it all setting and an excellent base to explore Cornwall. The Summerhouse was very clean and tidy and it has a lovely covered veranda. Ideal for sitting out in the evening And of course there is the added bonus of the hot tub. Lou was always on hand if needed. Excellent communication!

We had a fantastic week in the summer house at the blankednick botholes! Lou & Ben make you feel right at home & they can’t do enough for you during your stay to make sure you get the best out of your time there. Their local knowledge & recommendations didn’t disappoint & really handy to know in advance what was dog friendly. The location is excellent for Truro, Falmouth, gardens, walking routes & many beaches / days out just 15-20mins away. Relaxing in the wood fired hot tub after days of walking / exploring was a special treat and use of the bbq. The pictures really don’t do the summerhouse justice, the deck area is really big & perfect spot to relax with beautiful views of the kennall valley - bliss! We didn’t want to leave! 😍👌🏻😊 huge thanks to Ben, Lou & Lola 😁

Our stay at the Blankednick Boltholes was Cornish countryside perfection from start to end. We stayed in The Summerhouse, a one bedroom cabin with a wood fired hot tub. The scenery surrounding the cabin is truly breathtaking, the photos and videos don't even do it justice! What made our stay even better was the warm welcome we received from our hosts, Lou and Ben. Not only did they make us feel welcome and go above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic stay but their recommendations on local places to explore made our trip a magical one. We will without doubt be returning not just later this year but for many years to come.

Ponsanooth is a charming Cornish village nestled in the Kennall Valley. It boasts a well equipped village shop selling local produce, as well as basic essentials. Just a short drive away is the thriving town of Falmouth, made famous by the sailing regatta and it's multitude of brilliant bars and restaurants overlooking the harbour. Here you can go out fishing or on the pleasure boats, hang out in the bustling town, or just relax on the beautiful sandy beaches of Gyllyngvase or Maenporth.
For a good walk, there is also the Kennall Valley nature reserve with the remnants of a bygone gunpowder factory with the Kennall river cascading through. The South West coastal path is a mere stones throw from Blankednick, with some breath taking coastal scenery and essential ice cream shops on route to help recharge tired legs.
Nearby is Stithians reservoir, ideal for watersports and nature walks and the great North Coast surfing beaches are around a twenty-five minute drive.
Oh and did we mention the Dynamite Valley Brewery at the bottom of the valley (less than five minute walk) boasting local brews and even a beer cafe for a sundowner...

Although idyllically quiet, Blankednick Summerhouse is within a stones throw of the A39 which connects Truro to Falmouth to the deep South of Cornwall. Therefore almost anything in the county is easy to access, from the county town of Truro (7 miles away) to the famous surf beaches of the North coast being around a 20 minute drive.
There is also a bus stop within 500 yards of Blankednick going both North to Truro and South to Falmouth if required.
Please ask Ben and Lou the best way to get to places, as we know the secrets of navigating Cornwall, even in peak times!
