This historic home was built in the 1840s and extensively renovated in the early 2000s. The interior is comfortable and charming, with authentic period details (including wooden floors and two working fireplaces), three bedrooms (one for a child), and three baths. The 2-acre property features a large lawn and wooded areas, as well as gardens in summer. Roseboom is a quiet hamlet 15 miles outside of Cooperstown, with easy access to Otsego Lake, Baseball Hall of Fame, and other attractions. Downstairs has a parlor with piano and large desk, beautiful dining room, well-equipped kitchen, and large and sunny living room, as well as full bathroom. Upstairs has an enormous master bedroom, child's room (with toddler bed), second queen bedroom, and two full baths. There is a twin-size air mattress available as well. Outside, you will find two side porches, one with Adirondack chairs and one with grill and table/chairs. There is a small fenced area and a large green lawn, with maple trees for shade, a shed, a children's sandbox, and vegetable garden boxes. The rest of the property is wooded and marsh areas, fun for exploring, and has gorgeous views of hills and farms.

The house was very comfortable and the location was perfect for visiting my mom. Very kid friendly and our toddler loved the play kitchen.
We had such a wonderful stay. The house was absolutely spotless and exactly how it was described. Abigail was extremely responsive. I would highly recommend this property.
A beautiful house in a beautiful spot, very pleasant and comfortable. However, be aware that one bedroom has only a toddler bed, not useable by anyone over the age of 4 or so. So "3 beds" in the description is a little misleading.
Abigail’s place was amazing back in time we did not miss not having TV wait wait we enjoyed all the instruments the fire pit in the back was very nice it was 20 minutes away from Cooperstown There is a wonderful strawberry orchard go pick strawberries I really recommend it I will go back
My family and I had a wonderful week's vacation at this quiet home in Roseboom, NY. We wanted to spend a week vacationing in Cooperstown, and Abigail's house ended up being the perfect home base ... only a 10-15 minute short drive away from the most popular sights. The house is beautiful, with a welcoming kitchen and more than enough space for everyone. We didn't miss having a TV or cell phone service one bit. The clear nights made for excellent stargazing and we enjoyed a drink by the firepit. Can't recommend this house enough! You won't be disappointed!

Roseboom is a tiny, quiet hamlet with historic homes lining its main street. There is a country store and a casual restaurant on the corner. The larger village of Cherry Valley is five minutes away by car. Cooperstown is a 15-20 minute drive away, and offers many amenities and attractions, including historic downtown, beautiful Otsego Lake, the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Fenimore Art Museum and Farmer's Museum, and lots of dining and shopping options. Nearby you will find two state parks and plenty of options for outdoor recreation, including berry picking, swimming, kayaking, walking, and hiking.
You will need a car to reach the house and get around. There is room for 2-3 cars in the driveway.
