Mancos · 整套民居 · 1室1床2.0卫 · 可住2人 · Downtown Oak St Farmhouse - Work and Wander!
This well-equipped, historic Farmhouse is located in downtown Mancos—a thriving arts community with a “wild west” vibe. Work comfortably from home, walk to restaurants, grab a cider, beer or a coffee just minutes from the front door. The house sits 10 minutes from the Mesa Verde National Park gate, 15 minutes from the mountain biking mecca, Phil’s World, or 30 minutes from downtown Durango. Nearby Cortez has additional amenities and access to the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. Oak Street Farmhouse is a historic, 130+ year-old house (built in 1888!) with a ton of character. It has been renovated with modern conveniences, a fun and vibrant aesthetic, and a more open layout. The house has an open floor plan with a full kitchen, dining, and living room that flow into one another. The home office sits downstairs with a bath/shower directly across the hall. Upstairs is the master bedroom, attached master bath, and tv/lounge area. Enjoy a meal or a conversation outdoors under the comfortable, covered back patio right off the kitchen that adjoins the large backyard. A full laundry room is available for what may be a much needed, mid-adventure clean-up. This is not your typical Airbnb setup. We often think about the amenities we would love to have when we're travelling - spices, oils for meals, complete cook sets, a bbq, music and entertainment (including books!) are all things we want to pass on to our guests. We have a HomePod Mini speaker downstairs for great music, use your streaming apps on each TV, and enjoy fast, reliable wifi throughout the house and outside patio thanks to Eero. And don’t worry about keys during your stay, the front door will be pre-programmed with your own unique entry code. At 7,000 feet in elevation, Mancos enjoys cool evenings in the summer, but we don’t typically get enough snow during the winter to worry about getting stranded. ***Looking for something more remote?*** Visit our Airbnb profile to check out our other rental: the Cliff House at Sage Canyon. It is built-into and surrounded by a beautiful red rock canyon just southwest of Cortez, Colorado.
My husband and I stayed at Laura and Grant's downtown farmhouse for 6 weeks over Christmas and New Years and had a fabulous time. The space is nicely appointed with everything needed for a long stay without feeling cluttered. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. The large yard for our pups was great and the town is so cute. We were able to explore nearby national parks as well as Durango. The town of Mancos itself is tiny but cute. The ceilings upstairs are indeed a bit low, but my 6'2" husband managed just fine. The king bed and duvet cover were lovely, my only complaint is the mattress is a bit springy for those light sleepers. We loved the space with the skylight in the shower and the fireplace for cozy evenings. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
We loved our stay and would absolutely return! The home was so comfortable and convenient. It was a great place!
Instructions were clear and the house was easy to find. Everything was in order so I never had a need to talk or text our host. Close to Mesa verde and a short walk into a very nice town (Mancos).
The Historic house was beautiful! The only thing we had an issue with was the unexpected low ceiling on the second floor bedroom. My husband is 6’3 and had a bit of trouble with the low ceiling. Otherwise the stay was wonderful and Laura and Grant were very nice to us and responsive to our needs. We are very honored to have been guests at the Mancos Historic House ❤️
Set at the foot of the San Juans, Mancos is a thriving arts community with a “wild west” vibe. Walk to restaurants like Absolute Bakery or Olio. Grab a cider at Fenceline, coffee and a pastry from Fahrenheit Coffee Roasters, or a beer from the newly-renovated Columbine Bar & Grill. Zuma Natural Foods offers groceries and take-away sandwiches. Also within easy walking distance are several art galleries, the opera house, and the historic Mancos Free Press.
In the area, you are under 10 minutes from the Mesa Verde National Park gate, 15 minutes from the main trailhead for mountain biking mecca, Phil’s World, 20 minutes to Dolores, Colorado, or 30 minutes to downtown Durango (a gorgeous drive through the San Juan National Forest). Nearby Cortez (20 min) has additional restaurants, grocery stores, and access to the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument.
There is parking on-site for up to 2 cars at dedicated off-street parking area on the side of the house. You may also choose to park in the street at the front of the house.
