This efficiency cabin is situated on owner's 24 acres, just minutes away from the San Juan mountains and Mesa Verde National Park. New queen size bed, basic kitchenette, bath, and relaxing front porch. Panoramic views including a pond on the property. Horse boarding available for an additional charge. This cabin is one large room, with kitchenette, queen bed, rocking chair, dining table and chairs and a private bathroom. Two steps inside the cabin to reach the bedroom area. A covered front porch has chairs for relaxing and a hammock nearby. While the cabin does not technically have air-conditioning, there is an evaporative cooler that does a great job of cooling the space on very hot days and nights. An outdoor charcoal grill is available. Enjoy the sounds of the outdoors and starry nights!

If you want a quiet place surrounded by animals and fantastic views you will be at the right place. We enjoyed playing with the dogs and the quietness.
Wonderful little place for 2 and a perfect location for visiting Mesa Verde. I would recommend for a weekend stat.
Sheri and her husband, Barry, were friendly and helpful as we checked in and learned about their place in Mancos. The setting is beautiful, scenic, rural. We loved our cabin on the property. It suited our needs and we appreciated the care with which it was decorated.
Sheri’s cabin is a wonderful place to stay if you are in the Mesa Verde area. The cabin is located on their property near Mancos. You feel the peacefulness of the quaint surroundings and are greeted by views of the landscape in the distance. I would stay here again.

From your front porch you will have views of La Plata mountains, and Sleeping Ute. A 10 minute drive will take you to great fishing, hiking, biking and horse-back riding trails in the summer. In Durango take the narrow gauge railroad train to Silverton train or walk/ bike on the paved river path; explore the quaint streets of Telluride. Drive the San Juan Skyway for a day of breathtaking views.
In winter, make this cabin your warm, cozy resting place after a day of hunting or skiing, (a marked, cross-country ski trail is 10 minutes away.)
You will need a vehicle. There is no public transportation from the cabin to Mancos.

There is a saying that if you find something you love to do, you'll never have to work a day in your life...I love meeting and serving people. Having a vacation rental is a way that I can do what I love. When my husband and I travel, rather than staying in fancy resorts, we enjoy spending time with local people in local places. We believe this is the way to really get to know the character of a place. My husband is the third generation to live in the Mancos Valley. He knows and loves Southwestern Colorado and enjoys nothing more than sharing it's beauty and history with others. We enjoy our family, friends, horses and land. Our goal is to live a simple life, and share our blessings with others. Please come and see us!
