Jonathan was so welcoming. We spoke on phone before hand which was helpful. I was moving to Ottawa with my wife and kids and this place was a great base away from the noise of the city whilst we got set up. Private local beach was a highlight

Cottage was as described….cozy, well equipped, conveniently located and peaceful. We enjoyed being on the river and the beautiful sunsets from the lower deck. Good value and in a very friendly, safe and beautiful setting. The screened porch overlooking the river was my favourite spot!

A lovely cottage on a quiet river, our stay was everything we’d hoped for. Although it is on a river, it is much more like a lake and in the mornings there is barely a ripple in the water. Across from the cottage is an island with a sandy beach- well worth the paddle! The cottage was clean and uncluttered and is very well kept. Everything was easy to find and Jonathan’s instructions were clear and easy to follow. The screened in Florida room off the back provides a perfect view of the lake and great place to cozy up with a book. I would recommend placing a towel under the door as we had a brief visit from a friendly chipmunk on our first day! We enjoyed the BBQ and fire pit while we were there and hiked the nearby trails. A great stay with great hosts!

This is a great little basic cottage and that is exactly what we liked. We took this cottage to rest and enjoy the water. It was quiet and peaceful. We needed to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city and this is the perfect little cottage for that. We slept really well as the beds were super comfortable. I have to say I would do this all over again. Also if you like to kayak or canoe bring one with you and enjoy the water and Mohr Island. We were there just about every day as well as at the beach. Great little family cottage as well. Enjoy it, we certainly did.
