We had such a great week here. The cabin is a short walk from the river crouch, our two kids loved crab fishing near the jetty. The woodland is great for small people to explore. It's very peaceful but also a short walk to the local town. There is a vineyard, Crouch Ridge, just up the road where you can have lunch on the terrace, overlooking the vines. There is also a farm shop very close. Jane and Guy were very thoughtful and left books and colouring for our girls. Thanks so much. Steve and Bex.

This is a very special place. Located on a large plot of land at the end of a long private road, this lovely cottage overlooking the river offers a haven well away from the crowds. Staying a week with our young grandchildren, we found so much to enjoy with them... the birds, rabbits, deer, picking blackberries, visiting the nearby ponies, playing hide and seek in the woods. The house itself has a simple, lived-in feel, very comfortable without being swanky. Our hosts were very kind and helpful.

A beautiful cottage at the end of a gravel drive. A peaceful setting with lots of space to roam. The owners were super helpful (they live elsewhere) and made sure we were ok during our 10-day stay. Bright, spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen. Wonderful terrace off the kitchen with a grapevine growing over the pergola. A comfortable super-king bed in the main bedroom. We had the best sleep! (We only used one of the two bedrooms). Views to the River Crouch from the kitchen and bedroom where we watched the boats sail past. Direct access to the sea wall from the property and walks along the river to Burnham-on-Crouch. During our morning walks with our dog, we passed the locals having a swim in the river. It is rural and yet only a very short drive to Burnham and local conveniences. Lovely!
