The house was perfect for the two of us, located right in the heart of Stromness. It's beautifully designed, styled and looked after. So much thought has gone into every detail for a great stay, and the welcome pack was brilliant. Very comfortable, and full of local art and character. Top stay.

Perfect in every way! Jackie’s House was absolutely fantastic and we can’t wait for our next visit! The house is beautifully styled and had everything we needed for our stay in Orkney. The bed was super comfy, the kitchen perfect for preparing meals and having a washing machine was really useful for a walking holiday. Stromness is the perfect place to stay for a car-free stay in Orkney, with easy bus and ferry access to amazing sites, as well as a lovely bakery which we made excellent use of. Everything about our stay was peaceful and relaxing, but the icing on the cake was the amazing welcome hamper and cake provided by Emily which was just what we needed after a long day of travelling.

I enjoyed my stay in Stromness very much. Jackie's place is an easy walk from the ferry. It's also an easy walk to the bus station to visit the historic sites and other parts of the mainland. There are lots of shops and eating places nearby too. There's a great selection of books on the shelves, and the multi fuel stove is so cosy to sit and read by.

Everything was perfect, from the location to the fantastic welcome items…we arrived fairly late but the fresh bread and breakfast items made our stay stress free. We enjoyed cooking with fresh ingredients found just a few minutes walk as well as visiting the restaurant next door as well as the pub at the Ferry Inn. Loved the robes as well!!
